Quick installation

This procedure is suitable for a fresh Linux host. Read the security and backup guides before adding real data.

1. Download the repository

git clone https://github.com/lucas-lepajollec/nasdash.git
cd nasdash

2. Start

docker compose up -d
docker compose ps

No .env is required. NasDash generates strong initial passwords and a stable cryptographic secret, persists them with its data, and prints the passwords once in the service logs.

Open http://SERVER_ADDRESS:2504 from your private network.

3. Verify and retrieve the passwords

curl --fail http://127.0.0.1:2504/api/health
docker compose logs --tail 100 nasdash

In NasDash, add the local Docker host with:

Adresse / Hôte Docker : docker-proxy
Port API Docker       : 2375

4. Back up

Before any significant configuration, follow Back up and keep an archive off the Docker host.
