Using NasDash

Services and Categories

Add shortcuts, local and secondary URLs, icons, and private sections.

A service is a shortcut to an application. A category groups multiple services and can be public or secret.

Adding a Service

  1. Switch to administration mode.
  2. Create or open a category.
  3. Enter the name, icon or logo, and primary URL.
  4. Add a local or secondary URL if needed.
  5. Save, then test the link from the relevant network.

The primary URL must be accessible to readers. A local URL is suitable for LAN access; a secondary URL can represent an alternative access path. NasDash does not modify these destinations or bypass their authentication.

Secret Categories

A secret category is omitted from responses intended for unauthorized readers. However, never consider interface visibility as a replacement for the security of the target service: also secure each application.

Logos

Prefer lightweight SVG, PNG, or WebP files. A complete backup of /app/data must include uploaded logos.
