Features
Inventory of the functions present in the current reference product.
Services and Navigation
- Reorderable categories with standard or bento layouts;
- Services with local and secondary URLs, logos, and availability indicators;
- Secret categories filtered on the server side for unauthorized accounts;
- Global search and distinct profiles for desktop and mobile.
Monitoring
- Glances, Proxmox VE, and Libre Hardware Monitor devices configurable from the current interface;
- CPU, memory, disk, network, temperature, and GPU metrics based on the provided data;
- Transient states or configuration errors classified differently in the logs;
- Real-time local system feed.
Docker
- Multiple Docker hosts;
- Containers, details, statistics, and logs;
- Inventory of images and volumes;
- Start, stop, and restart actions reserved for the administrator;
- Controlled deletion handled separately by the Docker proxy;
- Configurable batch actions and Docker widgets.
Network and Tailscale
- Topology with nodes, groups, connections, and ports;
- Association of services and devices to network elements;
- Widget displaying machines from a tailnet via a read-only Tailscale OAuth client;
- Secondary URL to open a service via a private address or Tailscale.
Widgets and Customization
The provided widgets are: Devices, Overview, Tailscale VPN, Docker Actions, Clock, Calendar, Weather, Network Graph, and Docker Containers.
NasDash also offers themes, backgrounds, fonts, radii, opacities, mobile profiles, reorderable panels, custom tabs, and custom CSS with a fallback mode.
Access
- Public mode: anonymous read access with the permissions of the
vieweraccount; - Private mode: login required;
- Local accounts
adminandviewer; - Allowed lists of tabs and widgets, applied on the server side to the corresponding resources;
- Session revocation after a sensitive change to an account.
Home Assistant
The product README historically mentions Home Assistant, and the type still exists in some internal contracts. The current device addition screen does not offer it. Therefore, this documentation does not present Home Assistant as a supported user integration in the observed state.
