Music
Connect Jellyfin, Emby, Plex or Navidrome to the music widgets.
Four widgets in the Music group read the music libraries of Jellyfin, Emby and Plex (the same connections as the media widgets) or of Navidrome. Navidrome speaks the Subsonic API, so the same connection also works with Gonic and Airsonic.
Connect Navidrome
Settings → Integrations → Media → Navidrome: its address (for example http://navidrome.example.com:4533), a user name and its password. NasDash signs each request with a token derived from the password, on the server; the password never reaches the browser.
Widgets
| Widget | Shows |
|---|---|
| Listening | The track over a blur of its cover, artist and album, where it is, what comes next; at rest, the albums played lately |
| Music activity | Albums added, albums played or tracks played lately, as covers or a list — or the three as pages switched from the widget, in the chosen order |
| Music library | Artists, albums, tracks and hours of music, the main genres, the albums of the week |
| Most played | The albums or tracks played most, ranked (all time: the servers keep no count per period), or both as pages |
| Playlists | The server's playlists; opened, their tracks |
Viewers need the Media permission. Account names show only with Show who is watching.
Play music
Signed-in users play an album, a playlist or a track from any music widget (the round button), in this browser: Listening shows it with its controls, a seek bar and what comes next, and searches tracks, albums and playlists to play. Administrators can also pause or skip on a Jellyfin or Emby player. Audio goes through NasDash; anonymous visitors of a public dashboard cannot play. Music activity can show albums or tracks played lately; tracks played need Jellyfin, Emby, Plex or Navidrome (Gonic and Airsonic keep no track history). Navidrome shows what comes next only when the playing app saves its queue.
Each music widget can turn its play buttons off with Start music from this widget; what already plays can always be steered from Listening.
